These 3D grooves effectively increase the stiffness of the tread blocks, helping to stabilize the tread blocks during braking and traction. The variable angle of the tread grooves is designed in such a way that it increases the speed of water flow in the grooves, thereby reducing the braking distance on wet roads and reducing the risk of aquaplaning. By combining the tread pattern with a 3rd generation silica compound, the tire's lifespan has been increased by up to 12% compared to its predecessor.
